FPL 21:22 | Play the waiting game or make early moves in GW11?
GW 10 turned out to be a success with 56 points, well above the average of 42, thanks to Ronaldo’s 12 pointer and Raphinha’s 9 pointer. Armstrong and Kai chipped in with an assist as well. Jesus was unlucky to have a goal ruled offside by VAR, otherwise I might have broken into top 1M. Won’t complain much as a rise from 1.3M to 1.01M is decent enough.
As I head into GW11, although the team looks in decent shape there are still few holes to plug in my team and with fixtures turning and new managers coming in, might be a right time to make some early moves as well.

I don’t have a lot of options amongst my current defenders with Williams not getting playing time and Marçal still injured. I have been eying Chelsea defense for sometime now, but with Cancelo doing well till a couple of weeks back, I was managing fine. Lately, a lot of managers have doubled up on Chelsea defenders, thus I have to figure out how to best cut my losses and get at least a Chelsea defender as soon as possible. Reguilón could be a great differential option who could be a great pick with Conte coming in, not sure if this week is too early for that.
In midfield and attack, my only choice among the current XI players is between Gray and Armstrong. Although Armstrong is not certain to get enough minutes, but with Southampton who have an xG of 1.52 per 90 minutes (in last 5 games) playing against Aston Villa, who are the team with one of the worst xGA in last 5 GWs (2.41), it is definitely worth a shot to keep him in the playing XI. Plus Spurs are likely beef up defensively so Gray may not be a great option.
I am really tempted to bring in an Arsenal attacker for this GW, given they are playing Watford and are in good form off late, the challenge is who do I take out in my team. There isn’t a clear issue among my midfielders and forwards.
Differential Options for GW11
Reguilón (9.4%) – Spurs are set to experience the new manager bounce and with them playing against Everton who are not in the best of form, Reguilón could be set to offer points to FPL managers in defense as well as in attack
Broja (1.3%) – Broja is back fit for Southampton and he was in good form before the injury. Aston Villa, have been very leaky at the back off late with the worst xGA over last 5 games. Broja could be the best option to make most of it
Aubameyang (6%) – Aubameyang has 3 goals and an assist in last 5 GWs and they look much better as an attacking unit. It’s surprising that Auba is only 6% owned at this stage. Watford have been poor defensively and could be a game where Arsenal attackers could grab a haul
Mbeumo (4.5%) – It comes as surprise to me that Mbeumo is only 4.5% owned. Brentford have looked decent going forward and are playing against Norwich, who still look leaky at the back. Toney is a first choice attacker for many FPL managers but Mbuemo has shown sparks of FPL potential and this could be the GW when he finally hauls.
Best of luck, green arrows everyone!
