With almost two thirds of the season through, I am no where near the targets I had set for myself at the beginning of this FPL season – target of finishing in top 30k seems very difficult now but I have made decent progress since GW18, when I was languishing at 2.5M overall rank. Currently I am ranked just outside 1M and with biggest DGW of the season coming up in GW26, I hope to finally get inside 1M and then take it from there. Here is the review of my 3 previous gameweeks:

I managed to score 59 points in GW23, just 1 more than the average score. My captaincy choice went well, with Son being the highest scorer in my team, but with no other double digit hauls and having the wrong city attacker cost me some crucial points in the GW, which meant that I lost ~1lakh rank to be back around the 16 lakh mark, same as GW21.

GW 24

I made 2 changes to team for GW24, both free transfers, in order to get larger coverage for the DGW. I was leaning towards captaining Bruno, but ended up captaining Gundo and even though the latter played only 68 minutes in the DGW he ended up getting 19 points and that was a huge return. Along with this my differential in Bernardo Silva finally came good with him getting 15 points over the double gameweek, playing a big role in taking my total to 102 points for the GW, my second 100+ score for the year.

GW 25

Been busy over the weekend. I hit the wildcard in GW25 last moment to prep for DGW26, thankfully most fixtures are in line with @BenCrellin's predictions.

Depending heavily on Leeds to come good this double gameweek. Hopefully second match goes well.

Build up to GW25 caused ultimate level of anxiety with expected games for the double in GW26 to be announced anytime, but sadly they were not announced before the gameweek, however I had heard enough from Pep and Roy Hodgson to convince me that a big DGW26 is going to happen and hence I went ahead and used my Wildcard cheap to be able to set up my team for DGW 25 & 26 and use my bench boost in 26.

I went with 3 Leeds and 1 Southampton assets for GW25 and Leeds assets delivered in style in the final game of the GW – with all 3 of my players Bamford (C), Raphinha and Dallas scoring a goal each. This helped in adding 37 points just with the final game, taking weeks tally to 80 points and putting me on bring of 1M finally.
