I enter the penultimate GW of this FPL season and I am ranked 3.6 lacs, whereas I hoped to be closer to 30k by this time, maybe next year. In my Mini Leagues as well my performance hasn’t been great, I was hoping to dethrone my buddy from the top spot, but he has been playing fantastically and sitting at OR of 54k with 2316 points, a solid 120 points ahead of me, so that is a lost cause as well. Since I don’t have much to lose, I am taking a semi maverick approach to the final 2 gameweeks and looking to get differentials in and probably handover the arm band to them as well

Here are my picks for this GW:

Joelinton (TSB 0.7%) – Newcastle have an xG of 1.88 per game over last 7 games and play against Sheffield United who have an xA of 1.93 per game (Worst since start of April). Joelinton has started all games in absence of Callum Wilson and with the goal against Man City looks sharp to bang against Joe Linton.

Riyadh Mahrez (TSB 6.6 %)– Will he start? That’s the biggest question. On paper he looks set to start, rested again last weekend and Pep would want him to be game sharp before Champions League final.  

Mason Greenwood (TSB 10.7 %)– Mason has a 0.65 xG per 90 minutes since start of April in Prem League and United are playing against Fulham who have an xA of 1.77 per game since start of April. United would definitely want momentum back, and playing the only PL game in front of home fans, they should sizzle. He might be benched? Yeah, but should come on for last 30 minutes, and that might be enough to make an impact!

Safe Pick – Mo Salah (TSB 40.4 %) – Liverpool (xG of 2.33 per game in last 7 games) play against Burnley (xA of 1.72 per game). Burnley have nothing to play for anymore and Liverpool are fighting for a spot in the Champions League, on top of that Salah is in the mix for golden boot and would want to strengthen his grip on the golden boot.
