FPL 20:21 | Double Gameweek 19 – Time to be aggressive ?
As I head into double game week 19 (also a blank game week now with no fixture for Everton), I am still languishing at 25 lacs overall rank, which is really really bad, given I have had three top 1 lac finishes and worst rank ever in last 8 seasons has been 6.5 lacs (that too last year).
This makes me to think that probably I need to change my game plan. I am already at a very poor rank and have nothing much to loose at this point in time. Probably DGW 19 is the right time to start an ultra aggressive approach. Over the last few weeks I have tried the approach but got bogged down as some of the moves didn’t work. But it’s time to go full throttle.
I currently have 6 players with double games this gameweek, and with 11 team have 2 games, I am sure a lot of managers will have close to 11 DGWers. I am still vary of using any chip this GW, given things are still evolving in terms of fixtures at such a rapid pace and I am not best placed to utilise a chip this gameweek.
Free Hit: FH could come in handy later when postponements due to FA Cup come into play.
Bench Boost: I only have 6 DGWers, and even with a couple of transfers, I will not be able to best utilise the chip
Triple Captain: This is possibly the only chip which I can effectively use this gameweek. There are a few options in KDB, Salah, Fernandes but at this stage I am not sure if I am convinced enough to triple captain this GW.
11 teams have double game weeks in GW 19. Below is the list of fixture difficulty for each of the double game week teams and number of players I have from these teams:

West Ham United seem to have the best fixtures on paper for this gameweek with home games against Burnley and West Brom. I currently don’t own any West Ham players. I am targeting at least one of Cresswell (Or Ogbonna), Soucek or Antonio for my team.
Manchester United, Chelsea (both against Fulham) and Liverpool (Burnley) also have have an easy fixture coupled with a game against top 4 opposition. I don’t own anyone from Chelsea and given their results in last few games I am not too tempted to get a Chelsea player. However, Hudosn Odoi could be a punt pick for the DGW.
Manchester City have home fixtures against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa and they seem to be the go to team for this gameweek. A lot of managers already have double defence and an attacker from Man City.
Transfer Plans
I am definitely going to take out Calvert Lewin from my team and possibly Kilman too for a -4. Taking them out will give me a budget of 11.4M.
Other SGWers that I can take out are Smith-Rowe, Holding, Son or Bamford. Taking out Smith-Rowe and Holding might not serve any purpose as they are low on value and I might not be able to get any worthwhile DGWer in that value. While I can take Bamford or Son out, I think they could prove handy over next few GWs as well.
Cresswell and Antonio are top of my transfer plans, but I will fall short of 0.3M. I could replace Cresswell with Ogbonna for the transfer plans.
While Son could return against Sheffield United I am also tempted to get in someone like Maddison for the DGW. The question is will Maddison score 4+ more points than Son and will Maddison continue to provide value over Son in next GWs? Maybe not, however there is an off chance that he might and I could be willing to take that chance with the new approach. This will also free up the funds to get in Robertson or TAA instead of Cresswell. Decisions, Decisons!
Captaincy Pick
Salah, De Bruyne, Fernandes all offer amazing captaincy potential for the double gameweek. I have a feeling that Liverpool vs Man Utd could be a cagey affair with high possibility of 0 – 0 draw at Anfield. Also that Fernandes is on 4 yellow cards and there is a possibility he might miss out in the second game.
Hence KDB is my pick for DGW19. I am still contemplating if I should hit the Triple Captaincy chip for this GW. We will definitely have other double game weeks but I am chasing big at this point in time and TC chip could prove to be beneficial. Also Pep has mentioned in some pressers that KDB was tired towards end of last match, so there might be an off chance he might not start one of the games. Again, decisions, decisiosns.
Team (as of now)

Cheers everyone, best of luck for DGW19.
